Before planting128 viewsWide shot after the 12 ft by 17 ft land was cleared. Rented a gas power tiller from Ace and used it to clear the land. I recommend Redbrand welded wire fencing. Good quality stuff that keeps the dogs out of the garden.

gate_detail.JPG
Gate Detail142 viewsGarden gate closeup. It can swing both ways. Let's the sunlight in through its wire fence.

Made up of the following:
-12 foot post cut in half. These were sunk into the ground and concrete mix poured in. Holes drilled for gate supports.
-Two gate supports (left side). The bottom one would normally be pointing downward. However, this is how it worked out.
-Chain link fence pole cut down to custom lengths. A falling tree limb had damaged the pole on the one end. I was able to salvage the remain 17 ft of pole.
-four chain link corner pieces. These hold the poles.
-green and black spray paint
-bungee cord to function as a latch.
-copper tops ($2.00 each). Keep the rain off the posts. In time they'll turn a nice green color.
