Next Oil change211 viewsHere's the magnetic oil plug after 7360 miles. This is not wiped off. Note the oil still on the threads. The magnet at the end was coated with a fine grit. I had to rub it off with the blue shop towel to remove. I'm using synthetic oil; I find it hard to believe that it would have anything that would be attracted to a magnet. As for the filter, no ferrous materials that I can tell. I'm convinced this is from ferrous parts in the engine.
